These forms take as their starting point the stone form found in Dürer’s engraving ‘Melancolia I’
They are situated between the organic and inorganic, the static form of the stone and the movement or opening implied by the wooden structures. The structure becomes a container, a crate or mode of carrying , its possible cargo released like a pollen or seed.
Linking ideas of formal sculpture with science fiction they imply a landscape or place which is fictive, full of imminence and possibility.
The human scale suggests some futuristic mode of transport and delivery.
